Privacy policy

1. What this is

Trado helps you run an online store. This privacy policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, dashboard, and the stores you power with Trado.

2. What we collect

  • Account: email, name, and sign-in details when you create a merchant account.
  • Store data: products, orders, domains, and settings you add to run your business.
  • Shoppers: when someone buys on your Trado storefront, we process checkout and delivery-related details needed to complete the order.
  • Device & logs: basic technical info (e.g. browser type, IP) to keep the service safe and working.
  • Identity verification: age, NIN, BVN, and address when you enable payouts. See how we handle KYC data.

3. How we use it

  • Run Trado, host your store, and authenticate you.
  • Take payments and payouts through our payment partners.
  • Support you, fix bugs, and spot abuse.
  • Improve the product; we avoid unnecessary profiling.

4. Sharing

We share data with vendors that help us operate Trado (e.g. hosting, auth, payments, email). They only get what they need to do that job. We may also share if the law requires it.

5. Retention & security

We keep data while your account is active and for a short period after, or as needed for legal and finance rules. We use reasonable safeguards—no method is 100% perfect. Sensitive KYC fields are sealed with encryption; read more about KYC.

6. Your choices

You can update much of your info in the dashboard. For access, correction, export, or deletion requests, contact us. Some requests depend on what we must keep by law or for active orders.

7. Updates

We may shorten or change this page. The date at the top will move when we do; continued use after changes means you accept the update.

8. Contact

Privacy questions: reach out through your usual Trado support channel or open the app. For how we process data in depth, see our data policy.
